To qualify, you must a member in good standing and be in Florida all year.
ARTICLE VI – OFFICERS
SECTION 1. Election – All officers shall be elected at the Annual Meeting in April. They will be elected for a two (2) year term, and they will hold office until their successor has been installed.
SECTION 2. No member shall hold more than one (1) elected office at any time.
SECTION 3. DUTIES OF OFFICER
President. It shall be the duty of the President to preside over and conduct all meetings in a dignified manner, maintain order and decorum and at all times further the best interest of the Club. The President shall appoint all committees, either standing or special and shall be virtue of the office be a member ex officio of all committees except the Nominating Committee. The President shall sign all bank drafts in the absence of the Treasurer. The President shall uphold and enforce these by-laws and perform all other duties incident to their position.
1st Vice President. The 1st Vice President shall assist the President in the performance of the duties of that office and in the absence of the President shall perform the duties required by that office. When, in the case of an emergency and, the President is not able to sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer, the Vice President may sign them. The Vice President is also responsible for reserving the meeting place for Board Meetings from September to June. These should be done as far in advance as possible, and the dates and location should be submitted to and approved by the board members.
2nd Vice President. The 2nd Vice President shall assist the 1st Vice President in the performance of the duties of that office and in the absence of the 1st Vice President shall perform the duties required by that office.
Recording Secretary. The Recording Secretary shall keep true and accurate minutes of all meetings and proceedings. The Recording Secretary should conduct all club correspondence as ordered by the President or voted by the members. The Recording Secretary shall preserve the records of the Club and shall discharge all other duties incident to the office.
Treasurer. The Treasurer shall receive all monies collected from dues and from proceeds from events and activities authorized and conducted by the club. The Treasurer shall deposit all monies received into the checking account of the club at the designated bank. The Treasurer shall draw checks for all approved disbursements and all checks shall bear the signature of the Treasurer, the President, or the Vice President. The Treasurer shall submit a report to the membership at monthly and annual meetings.
